Clouds and Silver Lining

First thing this morning we took a decision to change the itinery due to the wildfires burning north of Banff; road closures were in place after 2pm and we could not run the risk of being unable to return to our accommodation. Kevin, our coach driver helped to put together an alternative plan and we think we hit the jackpot! Our initial cloud turned into a very sparkly silver lining. The pictures below tell the story, there was only one thing that would have put the icing on the cake and that was if we had sighted a grizzly or black bear on our travels. We did see plenty of signs warning of recent sighting things of bears in the area.....maybe from the gondolas tomorrow?

An awesome day finished off by free time in Banff for tea.
